Lucas Wyland is the Co-Founder and CTO of CoinLedger. Lucas has been building software systems since the age of 14, when he started creating flash games and apps for his friends and family. In mid-2017, Lucas was introduced to the world of cryptocurrencies and began building automated trading systems to take advantage of the extreme volatility within the crypto markets through intra-exchange arbitrage. While building this system and amassing over 100,000 trades himself, Lucas was exposed to the tax reporting challenges that resulted from such high-volume trading. This experience led Lucas to launch CoinLedger, a software system that would automate the cryptocurrency tax reporting process for investors.
When he is not in the codebase, you can find Lucas hiking or skiing the slopes of Colorado, where he currently resides.
Lucas has deep expertise with distributed systems, blockchains, and web development.
Lucas holds a bachelors degree in computer science from Missouri University of Science & Technology.
