Key takeaways

  • CoinLedger is our top pick: free tracking across 1,000+ exchanges, wallets, and blockchains, with a tax report you only pay for if you download it.
  • CoinStats has the most usable free tier here, at 10 portfolios and 20,000 transactions.
  • Most trackers stop at showing you a balance. Only CoinLedger, and CoinStats, whose tax reports are powered by CoinLedger, produce a tax report.
  • From the 2025 tax year, US exchanges report your sales to the IRS on Form 1099-DA, and that form shows proceeds without cost basis, so keeping your own records matters more than it used to.

The cryptocurrency ecosystem is booming. With all of these new exchanges, DeFi protocols, and wallets, there’s more demand than ever for crypto portfolio trackers that can help you track the value of your digital assets across all of your exchanges, wallets, and blockchains.

CoinLedger portfolio tracker

1. CoinLedger

Best for portfolio tracking and tax reporting

We’ll admit we’re biased here. Still, there’s a reason CoinLedger is trusted by more than 700,000 investors: it tracks your holdings across 1,000+ exchanges, wallets, and blockchains for free, and it keeps the cost basis records you need when tax season arrives. You can get started for free today.

Why CoinLedger stands out

  • Portfolio tracking is free. You only pay if you choose to download a completed tax report.
  • 1,000+ integrations across exchanges, wallets, and blockchains, so crypto you move between your own accounts is reconciled in one place instead of in six separate apps.
  • 4.6 stars across 1,350+ reviews on Trustpilot.

Best for

  • Investors who want one dashboard for tracking and one export at filing time.
  • Anyone who moves crypto between exchanges and self-custody wallets and needs their cost basis to follow it.
  • Investors who want to find tax-loss harvesting opportunities before the year closes.

Not ideal for

  • Investors whose portfolio is mostly stocks, property, and other traditional assets. CoinLedger is built for crypto, so a general net-worth tracker like Kubera will suit you better.
  • Active traders who want live order books and charting. A portfolio tracker is not a trading terminal, and our guide to the best charting tools is the better starting point.

Additional features

  • Exchange and blockchain integrations: There’s no need to import your crypto transactions by hand. CoinLedger supports automatic imports from exchanges like Coinbase, wallets like MetaMask, and blockchains like Ethereum.
  • Automatic tax calculations: There’s no need for a separate platform for your crypto tax reporting. When tax season rolls around, CoinLedger can calculate your crypto taxes in minutes.
  • Form 1099-DA reconciliation: Because CoinLedger holds your full history across every platform you use, you can check the forms your exchanges send against your own records and reconcile the differences before you file.
  • Tax-loss harvesting: CoinLedger flags your tax-loss harvesting opportunities in an instant, which can save you money on your tax bill.

You can create a CoinLedger account completely for free here.

Coinstats portfolio tracker

2. CoinStats

Best for a generous free tier and a built-in wallet

Boasting over one million users, CoinStats is one of the easiest ways to track your cryptocurrency within one single dashboard. Whether you are trading on centralized exchanges like Binance or DeFi protocols like Uniswap, CoinStats can help you track your assets across all of your wallets.

CoinStats features include:

Free portfolio tracking

Get started with CoinStats completely for free. The free plan covers 10 portfolios and up to 20,000 transactions, which is more than most investors will ever need. Above that, Premium costs $13.99 a month, and a higher Degen tier sits above it.

Use the CoinStats wallet

In addition to portfolio tracking, you can use the CoinStats wallet to buy, swap, and earn yield on crypto via DeFi protocols directly from your CoinStats dashboard. This allows you to have a central hub which contains all of your crypto activity, from tracking to buying and selling.

Tax reporting

CoinStats added tax reporting in 2023 through its partnership with CoinLedger. CoinStats users can sync their portfolios and generate capital gains, losses, and income tax forms. The handoff is worth understanding: you pick the portfolios you want covered and grant read-only access, and the report itself is generated on CoinLedger. If tax reporting is the reason you’re shopping for a tracker, it’s worth knowing that the engine behind those reports is CoinLedger, so you can go straight to the source.

delta crypto portfolio tracking app

3. Delta by eToro

Best for investors looking for detailed trade insights

Delta is one of the most popular portfolio trackers today. eToro acquired it in 2019, and the app is now published as Delta by eToro. It holds a 4.7-star rating across roughly 11,000 App Store ratings, and it tracks stocks and NFTs alongside crypto.

Delta’s features include:

Delta AI

Delta’s 2026 releases lead with Delta AI, which answers questions about your portfolio in plain language. The free plan includes three Delta AI uses a month.

Complete portfolio manager

Get a clear view of your assets, including stocks, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. See values in BTC, ETH, or any local fiat currency.

Exchange and wallet support

Delta integrates with dozens of cryptocurrency wallets and exchanges, allowing you to seamlessly import your transactions in minutes.

Market overview and watchlists

Check out the current price, team information, communications, latest trend chart, your holdings and your profit/loss for each asset you have in your portfolio. If you only want to keep track of certain cryptocurrencies, you can add specific coins to your watchlist.

Detailed trade analysis

Get detailed information on your asset splits, asset locations, asset sources, as well as your most used exchanges and services.

Delta is free to download on iOS and Android. The free plan tracks up to 10 assets, with unlimited exchange and wallet connections, so the limit is how many different coins you hold rather than how many accounts you connect. Two paid tiers sit above it: PRO raises the cap to 40 assets, and PRO+ removes it. Both are sold as in-app purchases. The App Store lists Delta PRO at $10.49 a month or $58.99 a year, and Delta PRO+ at $13.99 a month or $107.99 a year.

Delta shows you what your portfolio did. It doesn’t generate tax forms, so you’ll still need software like CoinLedger, or one of the other crypto tax platforms, at filing time.

CoinMarketCap portfolio tracker

4. CoinMarketCap

Best for free tracking tied to live market data

CoinMarketCap is one of the world’s most-trusted cryptocurrency price trackers, and its portfolio product sits directly on top of that price data. There’s no paid tier and no upsell, which makes it the lowest-friction way to start watching a portfolio.

CoinMarketCap’s features include:

Three ways to add your holdings

CoinMarketCap’s own support documentation says you can build a portfolio by entering transactions manually, by adding on-chain addresses that update automatically, or by logging in with a supported exchange.

Free to use

CoinMarketCap’s portfolio tracker is completely free to use, with no paid tier above it.

Mobile app

CoinMarketCap’s portfolio tracker includes a mobile application that allows you to track your assets on the go.

What CoinMarketCap tells you is what your portfolio is worth right now. It doesn’t calculate cost basis or produce tax forms, which is the point where a platform like CoinLedger takes over.

Crypto Pro

5. Crypto Pro

Best for investors who live on Apple devices

Crypto Pro launched back in 2015 as a Bitcoin ticker for the initial Apple Watch. Users had the ability to track Bitcoin's price on the go.

Today it runs across Apple’s devices, including Apple Vision Pro, and there’s an Android build on Google Play as well. Users can track their portfolios, read the news, and set price alerts.

Crypto Pro’s features include:

Portfolio tracking

Add holdings by hand, or sync them automatically by connecting an exchange API or importing a wallet address.

Apple and Android support

Support for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro, with iCloud sync, plus an Android build on Google Play.

Live price updates

Instant price updates for the app, including a Mac menu bar widget.

Complete privacy

All user data is encrypted and stored locally on each device. No user analytics or tracking solutions used.

Crypto Pro is free to start, and paid plans begin at $7.99 a month. It’s a tracker and a price ticker rather than a tax tool, so investors who need a tax report tend to run it alongside CoinLedger.

Kubera portfolio tracker

6. Kubera

Best for investors looking to track all their assets in one place

Kubera is a portfolio tracker designed for multiple assets, including cryptocurrencies and NFTs. There is no free tier, though there is a 14-day trial. Essentials costs $250 a year, and a Black tier costs $2,500 a year.

Kubera’s features include:

Track multiple assets

If you wish to track different assets in your portfolio, Kubera can help you track the value of your crypto, your car, and even your website domains!

Automatic and manual import options

Kubera allows investors to import select exchanges and blockchains. You can also manually add cryptocurrency holdings!

Find your highest-performers

Kubera can help you find your highest-performing assets across your portfolio on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.

Kubera is built to show you net worth across everything you own, not to do crypto tax work. It doesn’t calculate cost basis or produce tax forms, so investors who need both usually run CoinLedger alongside it.

What is a crypto portfolio tracker?

Crypto portfolio tracking apps connect to a variety of exchanges, wallets, and crypto services where you store or keep your crypto. You can integrate all of your platforms with the portfolio tracker to get a comprehensive view of your crypto gains, losses, and income.

When all of your portfolio data is in one place, you can make educated decisions on how or when to rebalance, when to take profits, or when to hodl.

The best crypto portfolio trackers denominate your holdings in your local fiat currency. This is an attractive feature as exchanges themselves don’t always have this capability. For example, if you are based in the U.S., your portfolio app would show the total value and the profit and losses in U.S. dollars.

What makes a good portfolio tracker?

While the ‘best’ portfolio tracker for you may vary depending on your situation, you should keep an eye out for the following features.

  • Free version: If you’re not sure whether a portfolio tracker is right for you, you can check out the free version of the platform to see whether it fits your needs!
  • Integrations with blockchains and exchanges: Entering all of your transactions manually can take serious time and effort. That’s why many investors choose to use portfolio trackers that automatically sync your transactions from blockchains and exchanges.
  • Security: It’s important to find a portfolio tracker that follows best practices when it comes to keeping your data secure.
  • Tax reporting: Most trackers show you a balance and stop there. If yours can also produce a tax report, you avoid rebuilding your entire transaction history somewhere else in April. Our guide to the best crypto tax software covers that side in depth.

What Form 1099-DA means for portfolio tracking

Starting with the 2025 tax year, US crypto brokers, which includes exchanges like Coinbase and Kraken, report your sales to the IRS on Form 1099-DA. You get a copy, and so does the IRS. That settles a question a lot of investors ask: the IRS now receives a standardized record of what you sold on a US exchange, whether or not you report it yourself. Our guide to how the IRS tracks cryptocurrency covers what is and isn’t visible.

For the 2025 tax year, Form 1099-DA reports your gross proceeds but not your cost basis. Exchanges only have to report cost basis from the 2026 tax year onward, and only for assets you acquired in that account on or after January 1, 2026. A form that shows proceeds and no basis makes a $1,000 sale of Bitcoin you bought for $950 look like $1,000 of gain rather than $50.

The form also gets less accurate the more you move crypto around. When you transfer crypto between your own wallets, the receiving exchange has no idea what you originally paid, so its records start from a blank. That is exactly the gap a portfolio tracker closes: if one platform holds your history across every exchange and wallet you use, you can reconcile what the form says against what actually happened, and catch the most common Form 1099-DA mistakes before you file.

If filing is your main concern, our roundup of the best tax software for Form 1099-DA goes deeper than this page does.

Can a crypto portfolio tracker help me report my taxes?
